Dual Overlay System – The Perfect Partner for Softer Floors
Eco friendly heating supplies the Dual Overlay system from Warmup. This creates a strong subfloor for underfloor heating. Recommended, along with an insulated underlay, for use with the Foil Heater to get the most comfortable and efficient results . The overlay system and underlay create a smooth, stable surface that’s ideal for vinyl, carpet, and other softer floor finishes, ensuring warmth is distributed evenly and safely throughout your room.
Strong, Stable, and Simple to Install
The Dual Overlay System from Warmup features two durable layers that sit neatly above the Foil Heater, forming a protective floating subfloor. This design shields your heating system from heavy load points caused by furniture such as wardrobes, bookcases, or beds — without compromising on comfort or performance.
Installation is quick, clean, and straightforward. As a floating system, it doesn’t require screed or adhesives — simply lay the boards, align them, and enjoy a solid, ready-to-finish floor surface.
Designed for ‘Dry’ Rooms
The Dual Overlay System is ideal for dry rooms such as living spaces, bedrooms, and hallways. It is not suitable for wet rooms like bathrooms, where higher moisture levels can cause expansion.
For wet areas where vinyl or carpet is being used, consider alternative electric underfloor heating systems installed within a self-levelling compound to provide full moisture protection.
Thoughtfully Engineered Construction
Comprising a Top Board and Base Board, the Dual Overlay layers are positioned with staggered, overlapping joints to create a strong and secure subfloor. Each pack includes four pairs of boards, offering a coverage area of approximately 2.88 m² — making it easy to plan and install with minimal waste.
Because the system is free-floating, it doesn’t attach to the subfloor below, providing a fast, eco-conscious installation with no drying times or additional materials required.
Check Compatibility Before Installation
While the Dual Overlay System works perfectly with most soft floor finishes, it’s always best to confirm compatibility with your flooring manufacturer before installation. Some flooring products may require underfloor heating to be embedded within a screed or levelling compound. Checking this ensures the best performance and helps maintain your flooring warranty.
