The Warmup StickyMat 150W/m² is a professional-grade electric underfloor heating solution using a thin dual-core heating wire pre-spaced on a glass fibre mesh. Its pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows the mat to be rolled out, secured, and repositioned during installation without losing grip. At only 1.8mm thick, the heating cable is extremely slim, making it ideal for renovation projects where floor height is critical.
If you are not sure which system to choose, refer to our Underfloor Heating Calculator for guidance based on room size, floor type, and project style.
Product Description
The Warmup StickyMat System 150W/m² is a high-performance electric underfloor heating system designed mainly for tiled floors in areas where stronger heat output and quick warm-up times are important, such as bathrooms, en-suites, kitchens, and wet rooms.
With a 150W/m² heat output, this system delivers reliable thermal performance and faster response times than lower-output systems, making it well suited to rooms with higher heat loss or where quick comfort is needed.
The heating cable is pre-spaced and fixed to a self-adhesive mesh mat, allowing fast installation on prepared subfloors. This helps ensure even heat distribution and can significantly reduce installation time compared with loose wire systems, particularly in regular-shaped rooms.
The StickyMat system is installed into tile adhesive or self-levelling compound, creating a durable and long-lasting heating solution beneath ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tiles. When installed with the correct insulation and controls, it can be used as primary or secondary heating, depending on room insulation and heat loss.

Key Features & Benefits
- Ultra-thin 1.8mm heating wire for minimal floor build-up
- Fast installation with self-adhesive mesh backing
- Dual-core technology with a single cold tail for simpler wiring
- Strong safety credentials with BEAB approval, CE marking, Lifetime Warranty, and SafetyNet™ Installation Guarantee
- Compatible with timber and concrete subfloors
- Ideal for tiled finishes including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone
- Maintenance-free operation with no moving parts
Suitable Applications
Warmup StickyMat 150W/m² is ideal for:
- Bathrooms and en-suites where quick tile warmth is highly valued
- Kitchens where regular-shaped floor areas make mat installation simple
- Living spaces where tiled finishes are used and strong, consistent heat is required
- Well-insulated rooms where it can work as a primary heat source
For irregular layouts or rooms with many fixtures, a loose wire or decoupling system may be the better option.
Flooring Compatibility
Direct application: ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone can be laid directly over the mat using a suitable flexible tile adhesive.
With self-levelling compound: carpet, vinyl, laminate, and engineered wood can be used only if the mat is first embedded within a 10mm layer of self-levelling compound.
Important: always check the maximum floor temperature permitted by the flooring manufacturer. Many vinyl and laminate products are limited to 27°C.

Installation Overview
- Roll out the StickyMat onto a prepared subfloor
- Cut the mesh only, never the cable, to turn and position the mat
- Embed the mat in tile adhesive or self-levelling compound
- Install the final floor finish above
Short Comparison
- 150W/m² variant: best for standard tiled rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, and general living spaces where good heat output and efficient long-term operation are needed.
- 200W/m² variant: better suited to higher heat-loss areas such as conservatories or rooms with multiple outside walls and uninsulated subfloors, where quicker heat-up times are required.
Tip: higher wattage does not automatically mean better. The right output depends on room heat loss, insulation, and floor finish.
StickyMat vs EcoFloor vs Loose Wire – Which System Should I Choose?
-
StickyMat Heating Systems
Best for tiled bathrooms and regular-shaped rooms where fast installation and reliable performance matter. -
EcoFloor Heating Cable Mats
Well suited to tiled kitchens and living areas where steady, even heat is needed. -
Loose Wire Heating Systems
Best for irregular rooms or spaces with toilets, basins, islands, or fitted furniture where more flexible cable routing is needed.
Tip: choose your system based on room shape, floor finish, and heat demand rather than wattage alone.
Refer to our Electric Underfloor Heating Collection Guide for full system comparisons and installation advice.
