ECOFILMSET underfloor heating elements offer a fast, clean installation with no requirement for self-levelling compound, making them ideal for modern renovation and retrofit projects.
The system is available in three different widths with standard lengths up to 10m. Each element can be trimmed on site if required and is supplied with 5m pre-wired cold tails for simple connection. Two heat outputs are available — 130W/m² for living areas and bedrooms, and 160W/m² for higher heat demand areas such as conservatories.
This ultra-slim carbon film heating solution provides even, comfortable radiant warmth beneath floating floors while maintaining a very low floor build-up.
ECOFILMSET is NOT designed for wet areas such as bathrooms or shower rooms. For those spaces, foil or heating mat systems are typically more suitable.

FAQ’s
What flooring can ECOFILMSET be used with?
ECOFILMSET is designed for laminate flooring and engineered wood flooring. It can also be used with vinyl or carpet when installed with ECOMAX-DUO overlay boards.
Do I need insulation under ECOFILMSET?
Yes. A suitable insulation layer such as ECOMAX-LITE improves efficiency, reduces heat loss and speeds up warm-up time.
Can ECOFILMSET be used as primary heating?
Yes — in well-insulated homes, ECOFILMSET can provide primary heating. In other cases, it works effectively as a supplementary heating system.
Is ECOFILMSET suitable for bathrooms?
No. This system is designed for dry environments only. For bathrooms or wet rooms, foil or embedded heating systems should be used instead.
Does ECOFILMSET require screed?
No. It is a fully dry installation system and does not require screed or levelling compound, making it ideal for quick installs.
How quickly does ECOFILMSET heat up?
The heating film reacts quickly, with warmth typically felt within 20–30 minutes depending on floor finish and insulation levels.
