Supplying the best infrared heaters in the UK.
Eco friendly infrared ceiling tile heaters provide a complete or supplemental heating in commercial, residential and public buildings.
The Herschel Select Infrared Ceiling Tile Heater is a smart, space-saving heating solution for environments that use suspended or modular ceiling systems. Installed directly into standard ceiling tile grids, it replaces a tile panel to deliver efficient infrared warmth without impacting wall space or interior design.
Using advanced infrared technology, the heater warms people and surfaces directly rather than heating the air. This results in faster comfort, reduced heat loss, and lower running costs compared to traditional convection systems. With no air movement, it also helps minimise dust circulation — ideal for offices, healthcare settings, and classrooms.
Designed for reliability and efficiency, the Select ceiling tile heater integrates neatly with modern thermostats and smart controls. When correctly sized, it can be used as primary or supplementary heating, making it a practical, eco-friendly choice for commercial and professional spaces seeking quiet, even warmth with minimal visual impact.
The 350 Watt heater fits 60 x 60 ceiling tiles do not have any brackets. They are intended for installation in a ceiling grid tile space only and cannot be ceiling mounted on a ceiling surface. For ceiling mounting panels on a ceiling surface, please use the Herschel Select XLS White panels.
The panels are easy to install and control using Herschel’s own iQ system or existing building management controls.
The infrared ceiling tile heaters are available only in a white aluminium finish with a white aluminium frame.
We offer a full service for office ceilings, including estimating your requirements via our survey service and our full product range is available through a wide UK distribution network. Available through all national electrical wholesalers, many regional electrical wholesalers, regional builders merchants, Travis Perkins and a number of resellers, online dealers and installers.

FAQs
What is an infrared ceiling tile heater?
It’s an infrared heating panel designed to fit into a suspended ceiling grid, replacing a standard ceiling tile to provide discreet radiant warmth.
Where is the Herschel Select ceiling tile heater best used?
It’s ideal for offices, retail units, classrooms, meeting rooms, healthcare settings, and other commercial or professional environments.
How does infrared ceiling heating work?
Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly rather than heating the air. This creates comfortable warmth with less heat loss and lower energy use.
Does ceiling-mounted infrared heating feel different from wall heating?
No. The warmth feels natural and even, similar to gentle sunlight, without drafts or air movement.
How do I choose the correct heater size?
Choosing the right size depends on room size, ceiling height, insulation levels, and how the space is used. Well-insulated rooms may require less output, while larger or higher-ceiling spaces may need multiple panels. We recommend a heat loss calculation for best results.
Can ceiling tile heaters be used as the main heat source?
Yes. When correctly sized and installed, they can provide primary heating. In larger spaces, they’re often used in multiples for even coverage.
What ceiling tile systems are compatible?
The heater is designed to fit standard suspended ceiling grids. Always check grid dimensions and load requirements before installation.
Can it be installed in any suspended ceiling?
Most modular suspended ceilings are suitable. The ceiling grid must be structurally sound and capable of supporting the panel’s weight.
Does it require special wiring?
It requires connection by a qualified electrician and should be controlled by a suitable thermostat or building management system.
Is infrared ceiling heating energy efficient?
Yes. By targeting warmth where it’s needed, infrared heating helps reduce wasted energy and running costs.
Does it cause noise or air movement?
No. Infrared heating is completely silent and does not circulate air.
Is it suitable for spaces with computers or electronics?
Yes. Infrared heating does not dry the air or create airflow, making it suitable for offices and IT-heavy environments.
