High-output Ecofloor electric underfloor heating cable mat delivering 150W/m², designed for tiled floors in bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces. Ideal for regular-shaped rooms and fast installation.

Product Description

The Ecofloor Underfloor Heating Cable Mat 150W/m² is a reliable and energy-efficient electric underfloor heating solution designed for tiled floors in well-insulated areas of the home.

With a 150W/m² heat output, this system is ideal for living spaces, kitchens, and other tiled rooms where a steady, comfortable warmth is required rather than rapid high-output heating. It is commonly used as primary heating in well-insulated rooms or as supplementary heating in larger spaces.

The heating cable is pre-spaced and fixed to a 0.5m wide mesh mat, allowing for quick roll-out installation and even heat distribution across the floor. This makes Ecofloor mats particularly suitable for regular-shaped rooms, reducing installation time compared to loose wire systems.

The system is installed directly into tile adhesive or a self-levelling compound, creating a durable, maintenance-free heating solution beneath ceramic, porcelain, or natural stone tiles, that can be used as primary or secondary heating, depending on room insulation and heat loss calculations.

Refer to our Underfloor Heating Compatibility Guide and Electric Underfloor Heating Collection Guide for full system selection and installation advice.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Heat Output – 200W/m² for fast warm-up and strong thermal performance

  • 0.5m Wide Mat – Easy planning and efficient coverage

  • Pre-Spaced Heating Cable – Even heat distribution across the floor

  • Ideal for Tiled Floors – Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone

  • Fast Installation – Roll-out mat reduces fitting time

  • Low Build Height – Installed directly into adhesive or leveller

  • Suitable for Wet Rooms – Ideal for bathrooms and kitchens when installed correctly

  • Maintenance-Free – No moving parts or servicing required

Suitable Applications

Ecofloor heating mats are best suited to:

  • Bathrooms

  • Kitchens

  • Hallways

  • Living spaces with tiled floors

  • Regular-shaped rooms

  • 150W/m² → Living areas, well-insulated rooms, steady comfort heat

  • 200W/m² → Bathrooms, higher heat demand, faster warm-up

For rooms with complex layouts, fixtures, or multiple obstacles, a loose wire system may be more appropriate.

Flooring Compatibility

Compatible floor finishes:

  • Ceramic tiles

  • Porcelain tiles

  • Natural stone

Ecofloor heating mats are not designed for laminate, vinyl, carpet, or engineered wood flooring.

👉 Refer to our Underfloor Heating Compatibility Guide for full advice.

Installation Overview

  • Installed directly onto a prepared subfloor

  • Embedded in tile adhesive or self-levelling compound

  • Heating mat can be turned (never cut) to suit room shape

  • Final floor tiles installed directly above

Correct subfloor preparation and insulation are essential for performance and efficiency.

👉 Refer to our Underfloor Heating Compatibility Guide and Electric Underfloor Heating Collection Guide for full installation planning.

Insulation Requirement (Important)

To achieve efficient performance and reduce running costs, Ecofloor heating mats should always be installed over a suitable thermal insulation layer.

Insulation:

  • Reduces heat loss into the subfloor

  • Improves heat-up time

  • Lowers running costs

👉 Refer to our Electric Underfloor Heating Collection Guide for insulation guidance.

Underfloor Heating Controls

Ecofloor heating mats must be used with a compatible thermostat and floor temperature sensor.

Benefits of proper control:

  • Accurate floor temperature regulation

  • Energy-efficient operation

  • Protection of tiled floors
